The Pakistan blueprint
Perfect Nations™ · Letters to the NationsPakistan

Dear Pakistan,

Deep green with a white crescent and star, and a white band for every faith that shares the land. You have rebuilt your reserves under one of the IMF’s largest programmes.

Think of what you have already built. Under the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility and climate facility you have drawn about $4.8 billion since 2024, and your reserves rose to $16 billion by December 2025. In July 2026 the World Bank approved $375.9 million to stabilise the grid and bring more wind power onto it.

At home the record is just as real. Seventy-eight in every hundred of you have a safely managed toilet at home. Seventy-seven in every hundred of you can always count on enough good food.

The work ahead is plain, and it is worth saying plainly. At the last count, in 2019, eighty in every hundred of your children reached the end of primary school unable to read a simple text. Only forty-five in every hundred of you drink safely managed water at home. Only fifty-one in every hundred of you cook with clean fuel. Reading sets your Coverage today, at 20.5 out of 100, with water and clean energy close behind. Each of them is within your reach.

Now imagine that same resolve turned toward every home in the country. Picture Perfect Pakistan: a morning when every family cooks with clean fuel and sits down to a full table; when every tap runs clean and every home has a safe toilet; when every child walks to a school where a teacher is waiting, and reads with ease by the age of ten; when every mother lives within reach of a clinic with the lights on, and every young person finds work that pays. And no Pakistani falls below a decent life, because the nation has decided that none will.

None of this needs a miracle. It needs what you already own: the Indus, your farmland, your wind and sun, your diaspora and one of the youngest populations on earth. They are assets no balance sheet counts, and together they can carry every Pakistani to food, water, shelter, energy, education, health and a livelihood.

“You rebuilt your reserves under the hardest conditions. Now build a reader in every Pakistani classroom.”

So this is an invitation. Bring your vision, your story and your solutions to the Perfect Pakistan Design Studio, and join the Co-designers who are already imagining what comes next. Perfect Pakistan will not be designed for you. It will be designed by you.

Yours in design,

Preeti Sinha
