The Morocco blueprint
Perfect Nations™ · Letters to the NationsMorocco

Dear Morocco,

Red, with the green five-pointed seal at its heart. Almost every one of you cooks with clean fuel, and the IMF judges your policies strong enough to keep a $4.5 billion credit line open on demand.

Think of what you have already built. In April 2025 the IMF renewed a $4.5 billion Flexible Credit Line, a facility it offers only to nations with very strong policies. In 2026 the World Bank approved $500 million for jobs and green growth, $250 million for digital government and $400 million for climate and risk insurance.

At home the record is just as real. Ninety-seven in every hundred of you cook with clean fuel. Ninety-four in every hundred of you can always count on enough good food. Eighty-eight in every hundred of you live above $4.20 a day.

The work ahead is plain, and it is worth saying plainly. Only eight in every hundred of you have a safely managed toilet at home. At the last count, in 2021, sixty in every hundred of your children reached the end of primary school unable to read a simple text. Essential health care scores only 65 out of 100 on the World Health Organization index. Shelter sets your Coverage today, at 8.4 out of 100, with reading and health care close behind. Each of them is within your reach.

Now imagine that same resolve turned toward every home in the country. Picture Perfect Morocco: a morning when every family cooks with clean fuel and sits down to a full table; when every tap runs clean and every home has a safe toilet; when every child walks to a school where a teacher is waiting, and reads with ease by the age of ten; when every mother lives within reach of a clinic with the lights on, and every young person finds work that pays. And no Moroccan falls below a decent life, because the nation has decided that none will.

None of this needs a miracle. It needs what you already own: your sun, your wind, your phosphates, your ports on two seas and a state the markets trust. They are assets no balance sheet counts, and together they can carry every Moroccan to food, water, shelter, energy, education, health and a livelihood.

“The world trusts your policies with a credit line on demand. Now trust every Moroccan home with safe sanitation.”

So this is an invitation. Bring your vision, your story and your solutions to the Perfect Morocco Design Studio, and join the Co-designers who are already imagining what comes next. Perfect Morocco will not be designed for you. It will be designed by you.

Yours in design,

Preeti Sinha
