# Dear Vietnam,

A golden star on a field of red. In a single generation you lifted most of your 
people out of poverty, and in September 2026 the world’s index investors began to
buy your companies as an emerging market.

Think of what you have already built. FTSE Russell has upgraded your stock market
to emerging-market status, and the first 27 companies entered its global index on
21 September 2026; the World Bank expects up to $5 billion of portfolio inflows.
In September 2026 the World Bank also approved more than $660 million for Hai Phong,
the Mekong Delta highways and your fishing ports.

At home the record is just as real. Ninety-one in every hundred of you cook with
clean fuel. Ninety-one in every hundred of you can always count on enough good food.
Eighty-two in every hundred of your children read a simple text by the end of primary
school.

The work ahead is plain, and it is worth saying plainly. Only forty-five in every
hundred of you have a safely managed toilet at home. Only fifty-nine in every hundred
of you drink safely managed water at home. Essential health care scores 71 out of
100 on the World Health Organization index. Shelter sets your Coverage today, at
45.4 out of 100, with water and health care close behind. Each of them is within
your reach.

Now imagine that same resolve turned toward every home in the country. Picture Perfect
Vietnam: a morning when every family cooks with clean fuel and sits down to a full
table; when every tap runs clean and every home has a safe toilet; when every child
walks to a school where a teacher is waiting, and reads with ease by the age of 
ten; when every mother lives within reach of a clinic with the lights on, and every
young person finds work that pays. And no Vietnamese falls below a decent life, 
because the nation has decided that none will.

None of this needs a miracle. It needs what you already own: your rivers and delta,
your coast, your factories, a stock market the world now buys, and a nation that
has already proved how fast it can climb. They are assets no balance sheet counts,
and together they can carry every Vietnamese to food, water, shelter, energy, education,
health and a livelihood.

> “The world now buys your companies as an emerging market. Now let every Vietnamese
> home have a safe toilet of its own.”

So this is an invitation. Bring your vision, your story and your solutions to the
Perfect Vietnam Design Studio, and join the Co-designers who are already imagining
what comes next. Perfect Vietnam will not be designed for you. It will be designed
by you.
